The day after Thanksgiving is a very special day in Red Wing; it is the day of the Holiday Stroll. It is a day filled with the sounds of music and laughter on the streets, delicious aromas of tasty food in the air and beautiful lights that give downtown a soft, festive glow.
This day doesn’t begin this way. Early in the morning, barricades are placed and the streets closed, tents are raised, tables are set up, decorations are hung, the stage is placed and electrical equipment is connected. It’s quite a production, but we have lots of amazing volunteers that help.
We are passionate about our community and are dedicated to finding ways to help the downtown grow and remain vibrant. The Holiday Stroll is one event that does just that. The Holiday Stroll brings over 10,000+ people together in the downtown area to celebrate what our community has to offer.
